Mumbai Bhel Puri

If you have never eaten Mumbai Bhel Puri, then you must be joking!! Take a short walk anywhere in Mumbai and you will surely find this @ one of the roadside stalls!



Serves: 4
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time:  5 minutes
Complexity :  Very Easy


Ingredients:

  • Puffed rice – 2 cups
  • Green chutney – 3 tsp
  • Sweet chutney – 3 tsp
  • Onions (finely chopped) – 1
  • Tomatoes (finely chopped) – 1
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped) – 1/4 cup
  • Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  • Chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Green chili (finely chopped) -1 [optional]
  • Chopped green mango – 2 tbsp
  • Boiled potato – 1, chopped [optional]
  • Mix Mixture – 1/4 cup
  • Chaat masala – 1/2  tsp
  • Black salt – 1/4 tsp
  • Peanuts – 1 tbsp

Steps:

  1. Take a large bowl, add the green chutney, sweet chutney, lemon juice, chaat masala, black salt, chill powder and salt. Mix well
  2. Add onion, tomato, chopped green mangos, chopped coriander leaves and mix well
  3. Then add the puffed rice, mix mixture & toss well
  4. Lastly add the sev, papadi and mix well
  5. Serve bhel puri immediately
