Paneer Bhurji Sandwich

I dedicate this to Paneer eaters!! This has to be included in my restaurant menu for the appreciate I got from my family!! You can call this “Vegetarian Egg Bhurji”! Oh yeah! it tastes as good as that !

Serves: 3
Preparation Time:  10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Complexity : Very Easy  




  • Paneer crumbled – 3/4  cup
  • Onion, finely chopped – 1 big or 1/2 cup
  • Capsicum -1/4 cup
  • Tomato Sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala – 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Italian herb – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt
  • Chat masala
  • Chili flakes – optional
  • Bread slices – 10
  • Butter
  • Coriander Leaves chopped – 1 tbsp


  1. To crumble paneer, let it come to room temperature if stored in the refrigerator/freezer, place in hot water along with outer plastic wrap for a few minutes to soften, then remove from wrapper and crumble with palms until no large lumps are present.
  2. Heat butter or oil in a pan Add onions and saute till golden brown
  3. Then add capsicum saute for a minute
  4. Then add chilli powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and tomato sauce. mix well
  5. Add italian herb ..Give a quick stir
  6. it should be saucy and not too dry
  7. if you feel dry then sprinkle some water
  8. Then add crumble paneer.
  9. Add black pepper
  10. Mix well, cook for a minute.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and switch off the flame
  12. Now stuffing is read
  13. Apply butter on a both side of bread
  14. Now apply thick layer of paneer stuffing
  15. Sprinkle chat masala
  16. Cover it with another bread sprinkle some Italian herb and chili flakes
  17. Now grill nicely in the sandwich maker
  18. For Square shaped grilling, turn the bread to right side by 90 degrees and grilled again
  19. Sandwich is ready 🙂
